Silhouettes II – elegant silver and gold hook earrings with gently curving lines and gold granulation.
This piece is part of my Lines and Traces Series. Drawing on the traces left behind by ancient civilisations, this collection interprets my discoveries from books and museums, through abstract designs composed of lines, gentle curves and minute golden dots. Whilst they are abstract, I imagine them infused with the stories preserved in cuneiform tablets, pieces of ancient jewellery or in the wondrous granulation of Etruscan goldsmiths.
The earrings are made from Argentium silver which is curved and textured. The pattern on both earrings is mis-matching and the earrings are suspended from 18ct SMO gold ear hooks.

Wearing It
These earrings are easy to wear - they combine with any outfit and can be worn on any occasion, be it a formal or informal event.
The ear hooks are made from 18ct single mine origin (SMO) gold and allow for easy fitting. The thickness of the wires is Ø 0.8 mm. For your peace of mind a plastic ear fitting is supplied to protect against accidental loss.

My pieces are designed in collections and are made in small editions, sometimes as completely unique pieces. Even with repeated pieces, there are always slight pattern variations, which are part of the making process, making each piece completely unique.
