Cherry Blossom Collection, 2026
The pieces below are part of my new Cherry Blossom 2026 Collection. They will be shown at Collect Art Fair, 2026 at Somerset House, London from 27 February - 1st March 2026. Collect is an international exhibition of galleries and I will be showing my work through Contemporary Applied Arts (CAA), London. These pieces will also be available for a number of weeks through the CAA gallery, after the close of the exhibition at Somerset House.
Having always been drawn to Japanese aesthetics, traditions, and craft practices, the idea for this collection emerged whilst listening to a novel set in Japan. Reflecting on the minimal beauty of Japanese cherry blossom woodblock prints by Hokusai and Hiroshige, this collection seeks to capture the fleeting, fragile grace of cherry blossoms drifting on a spring breeze.
Combining the rich yellow of 22ct gold (or the slightly paler hue of 18ct gold) with the satin-finished, textured whiteness of silver creates a striking contrast, while the softly sparkling yellows of the citrines and golden rutile quartz further enhance the pieces’ delicate elegance. Further pieces may added to the collection throughout this year.
