Traces - ear studs with delicate curved lines in silver and gold.
This piece is part of my Lines and Traces Series. Drawing on the traces left behind by ancient civilisations, this collection interprets my discoveries from books and museums, through abstract designs composed of lines, gentle curves and minute golden dots. Whilst they are abstract, I imagine them infused with the stories preserved in cuneiform tablets, pieces of ancient jewellery or in the wondrous granulation of Etruscan goldsmiths.
The cushion-shaped ear studs are made from Argentium silver with a satin-finished, textured background. Silver and 18ct (SMO) golden lines follow the curved contours of the earrings, giving them an elegant, sophisticated feel. The pattern on both ear studs are mis-matching.

Wearing It
These earrings are easy to wear - they combine with any outfit and can be worn on any occasion, be it a formal or informal event.
The ear posts are also made from Argentium 940 silver, are 11 mm long and have large silver scroll backs.

All of my pieces are designed in collections and are made in small editions, sometimes as completely unique pieces. Even with repeated pieces, there are always slight pattern variations, which are part of the making process, making each piece completely unique.
