Tendrils, Brooch

£720.00

Tendrils - a silver brooch with delicate lines and golden dots.

This piece is part of my Lines and Traces Series. Drawing on the traces left behind by ancient civilisations, this collection interprets my discoveries from books and museums, through abstract designs composed of lines, gentle curves and minute golden dots. Whilst they are abstract, I imagine them infused with the stories preserved in cuneiform tablets, pieces of ancient jewellery or in the wondrous granulation of Etruscan goldsmiths.

The silver lines and golden dots at the front of this brooch nestle against its gentle curve, whilst the golden pendants dangle freely underneath.

The brooch is fastened with a secure double-pin at the back.
