The Environment and Ethics

In July 2017 I attended the Association for Contemporary Jewellery 20:20 Visions Conference in Sheffield and it was thought-provoking in many ways. Amongst other things, it made me consider my practice as a jewellery designer from an ethical and environmental perspective. I have now resolved to transform my work & business to become as eco-friendly and ethical as possible.

It will take some time and there are plenty of challenges ahead. I think it is a continuous process of evaluating the currently used materials, chemicals, tools and modes of working and then of sourcing suitable alternatives for these and adapting my way of working.

As I go along I will update you on my progress and deepen my knowledge and thinking on the subject.
